Got quite a bit of stuff from the Thrift store on base. Got 8 nice men shirts, a beautiful brown suede skirt with matching jacket, some plain jeans for Cassie (I'm going to paint/stensil on the legs, maybe add some studs and sequins to dress them up), a cute pair of breakaway pants for Cassie, some adorable shoes, got some clothing for the two boys as well, some dinosaurs for the little one too. I'm going up Monday morning to visit the other base's Thrift store and see what I find there. I've already wrapped everything I got at the other one!
Thanks to all who has emailed me recently to say they are sending something! I may make the trip on the 24th instead of earlier like I said...this way I can make sure I have everything before I go! |

I had a few people from my housing area drop off some food items! I have about 3 grocery bags full of boxed and canned items with some seasonings too! Yay! I go tomorrow to a couple thrift stores and see what I can find there, plus do my errands like mail out Christmas packages, go to the bank, etc. I bet there are a lot of packages waiting for me at the post office as I haven't checked my box in about a week now and have been getting some Christmas pressies for the kids off of ebay. Got two Hokey Pokey Elmo's. A fisher price little people set, and a Barbie of Swan Lake doll with carriage. Kennedi is going to love the doll, and Bryan loves the little people! And I'm going to go crazy with those Elmo dolls going off! lol Ahh, the joys of childhood! |

If this is another pcf, I am so glad I got out of there when I could then. If this is the way you treat your fellow friends then I wouldn't want to stay there.
Anyways, on another note! As soon as I get all the pressies wrapped, I'm going to take a BIG picture and post in it the journal so you all can see how many is going to L & M & family!! And I'm going to post another BIG picture of all the food items I get for them! That might take up more than one picture though! lol. I can't wait. I get excited just thinking about it! I go to the Thift store on Wednesday, so wish me luck that I find some nice items! I'm also going to some of the thift stores offbase this weekend to see what I can find there. And while I am buying stuff for this family, I will also be donating to a charity as well like The British Heart Foundation (I LOVE This shop)!!!

I would like to know who in the world is the person starting trouble for me saying that I sell things that people give me...even for charity! I don't think so. Anything I sell, I usually buy for myself, even if I was to sell something I got as a gift, doesn't mean that other people don't do this. Maybe I couldn't use that item...am I supposed to keep it forever in a box where it doesn't get used? And I definitely don't sell or keep things given to me when I'm helping out a charity or a family like this. That is just wrong to even suggest that. I have an idea who it is. Kittenfairy, is this you? Because you have started a world of shit like this for me before...I wouldn't put it past you. I even forgave you for that NASTY email you sent me, and I'll forgive you for this as well. Why couldn't you have just put your name on the comment and not anon??? or someone as you put it?? Why the secrecy? scared? I still love you though. Isn't that the saying? Fight meaness with kindness? |

I can't believe all the emails I have gotten to help out Linda & Mark! It's amazing! Makes me feel like there are people out there who really care! Now all I have to do is ignore the mean people who are still going on about this. I am terribly sorry if I posted on your group and you didn't want it there, delete it. I thought other people would like to help, and most of you did! I am so grateful, and so thankful that there are some wonderful souls out there! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Remember also, all the proceeds I get from ebay sales will also go into the food and clothing money jar for Linda & Mark and their family! My user id on ebay is pixieelf! Everything is cheap!
I love you all, even if you some of you are being meanies! Even if you can't donate anything, and would like to, a few prayers for them would be awesome as well! |

I didn't expect to receive so many negative comments about my earlier post. I thought it would be well received and thought people would like to help out.
I recently purchased a Playstation 2 for the middle boy from a Thrift store on the base that was in good condition, but the laser was out of sorts. I got that fixed from a place on base when my husband said he couldn't fix it. I have also purchased two playstation games from ebay uk tonight to go along with this!
My husband fixed a DVD player Linda had gotten at a boot sale for 5 quid. She is going to give that to her daughter along with a few DVD's I picked up on ebay as well.
All I really need is to go out and get something for the smaller boy as a gift. I would like to get them more and most probably will, but that is why I called for your help.
I know some people doubt this and think it's a fake but it's truely not. These people are very very dear to me and it breaks my heart that something like this is happening to them! I want to give them a Christmas they will never forget and know that somewhere out there, there are people who love them without even knowing who they are! I have made some flyers to pass around my neighborhood to ask help with food and clothing.
I am going to the Thrift store again on base this week to see what clothing I can get. Since I recently got my last paycheck I will be able to work a bit with that.
I do thank all those precious souls who have helped so far with donations and the others who are about to! You have been terrific! I can't thank you enough and I deeply appreciate you helping me. If you would like to help but need help sending items to me, just ask and I can pay half or all of postage! I also take paypal if you would like to donate in money for the grocery and clothing items I will be buying. I already have $40 some kind souls have donated and will get you a candle set sent out to you! Just let me know your 5 favorite scents! And a few other people who said they would send something! Everything is greatly appreciated! I will say thankyou a thousand times if I have to! My friends here near me are donating some money and food stuffs to help as well as go grocery shopping with me and helping me deliver items as well!
Since I have kept their house before and watched their cats while they go out hunting for jobs and such, I have a house key, Linda also gave this to me when my husband and I were fighting. She told me I would always have a place to stay and a shoulder to cry on. She's been there for me through thick and thin and I would love to do something truely special for her. So all of this is going to be a complete surprise. I am not sure if they have a tree this year, and am trying to find that out this week! If not, they will have a tree when I get my husband to take them both out for the day and I set up their house. I will pack their pantry overflowing and put gifts and a tree up if necessary. I have 3 of my friends currently helping me with this! Yay! So it will be a total and utter surprise to this wonderful family!
But since I have, I guess insulted (well that's not really the right word) a few people, I will just keep the updates and such to my journal. If you feel that you don't want to read this or have anything to do with this, please either skip over me or remove me from your friends list.

So its that time of year again...and I've adopted another local needy family for the holidays.
Anyway, as a refresher, I am gathering items to hopefully make their holidays merry and once again could use your help. This year the family has been marked as especially needy and "food" has been mentioned as a priority, clothing second. I will be making the delivery on Dec 21/22.
Please let me know if you would like to make any sort of donation - whether it be a food nonperishable item, providing an item listed below (or things that aren't listed too that you think they would like...this family has been very modest in their requests), just forking over some money would be helpful this year as well. Perhaps some people you know at your workplace would like to help too? I've got a 5 person family this year so the extra help is needed!

1. Please only sign up if you plan to actively participate. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I must require that you be 18 years or older to sign up for this! I am sorry but this has to be done! Yes people from overseas may enter. After you sign up and decide you cannot participate, please let me know so I know not to stick you in the round.
2. This Secret Pal round will last for 3 months from Aug. 1 until Oct 31st . YOU MUST SEND TWO PACKAGES A MONTH. Equaling about $10-$20 each month. You also need to get a secret email address, to send e-cards at least once every two weeks or more if you desire. You will also post on a link I give you when you get a secret pal at least once a week (or more) to your pal. (but you do need to post thank yous and such to your pal, that way they know you got your package). Free email places are mail.com, hotmail.com, if you do a search on google.com and search for free emails I am sure you can find one there as well.
3. If you do not send to your pal any packages that first month, you will be booted from the round and another person will take your place. I have had this happen too many times, that I am going to have to be strict on this. No second chances. If you are not financially able to do this, DO NOT SIGN UP!! If something does come up in the round and you are not able to participate anymore…LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY, that way I can find your person a different fairy!! I send email updates every so often asking how everything is, etc. You will get 2 points for responding to those emails to let me know you read them, etc. At the end of the round you can spend your points on my point program (get handmade bath goodies and what nots).
4. At the end of the Secret Pal round you will reveal who you are. But only at the end!! Do not tell your pal who you are now! You can reveal yourself in the last package you send or the last week of the round. The easiest way I have found to send packages are on the first and 15th of each month. But you can do it any way you like.

I am going to shoot everyone at YouSurf and then blow up their building. They are only located about three hours from me if that much! But they are getting on my nerves. Anyone recommend an internet company (in the UK and NOT BT) that accepts a Switch card?
